Hey folks,
I'm approaching the last weekend of my live duet album launch with Robbie Long (just Sydney & Newcastle to go) & it's been really wonderful! It's been a long time since I've felt so excited about new music & I feel like I've dug deeper inside myself to find a voice I never knew I had. Robbie is wonderful to share a performance space with. He listens constantly & responds with great energy & inventiveness to whatever happens. Every performance of a song is different & beautiful. I find myself playing lines I've never played & shaping melodies into new creatures. I'm so excited I've handed my double bass over to Neville Whitehead for some bridgework & a new fingerboard. I want to make my machine a little faster! for those who want to catch the collaboration, come down on thursday to The Cafechurch Space in Glebe or The Royal Exchange in Newcastle. We'll also be supporting Mic Conway's New Album Launches in July & August. Check out the gig calender for details...

Well here I am on the eve of the first gig of a double album launch tour with Robbie Long, and though that's pretty exciting, it's not as exciting as announcing my engagement!
Crazy, wonderful Steve Vella ask me THAT question on a hill in Merrijig with Mount Buller in the distance. "Of course!" was my response. So I get to not only tour with a really wonderful guitarist- Mr Robbie Long, over the next 3 weekends, but I can also say that the sound guy is my fiancee. Steve is also going to get onstage at most of the gigs to recreate his duet on my new album, the lovely "Somewhere Within". I'll just have to try not to swoon too cheesily when that bit of the show comes around.
The new look website has almost all come together with only the image gallery & a bit of tweaking to go. All those who are new to the site you should go to the music page & open up the player so your explorations can be accompanied by music from both of my albums- thanks Andrew!
Anyhow that'll do for now....

Hey folks,
Apologies to anyone who's been to the site lately & found it a bit broken. My trusty web-guys are re-skinning & updating the site to co-incide with the new album launch tour, so sit tight 'til the job is done. It'll include a smoother gallery interface & a new media player so you can easily listen to sample tracks from the albums.
Meanwhile, back at the ranch I've been organising a 3 week east coast double album launch tour in June with 2008's National Bluegrass guitar champion Robbie Long- SNAPSHOTS OF YOU & ME. So check out the gig guide as it unfolds- it's almost finalised!
Lastly for now, CONGRATULATIONS to Kerrie Sweetnam who won the draw for a free house concert. We'll see you at the end of June for an intimate evening in Turramurra!
