Here I am at my brothers house in Nowra.
Right next to me is a very groovy cubby house that Steve made with my
adorable great nephew Lachlan. Actually the word 'adorable' seems a
little out of place for this sharp & feisty youngster who can
already pull amazing grooves on his home made drum kit. Last night at
the Tea Club he couldn't keep his hands still during our Jigzag set
& I can't wait to see what he'll be like on a real kit once his
legs can reach the hi-hat & kick pedals!
The house concert tour continues to be a joy. Our trip to Narrawallee
beach confirmed my love of the South Coast. I nearly wrote off a
digital camera trying to get a good shot of bulging red sea anemones
& the water really was a million shades of blue. As far as the
performance went- we laid down some good grooves with new friend Eddie
on Djembe & a very old friend Dave Nolan played some lovely lead
acoustic behind 'Cry'. We were upstaged, however, by the effervescent
Leanne & the presence of an amazing beetroot & coriander dip.
We have to get some recipes up on this website!
Thanks to Steve & Jen Campbell- you were wonderful hosts. And big
thanks to Steve for helping my Steve fix the Team Van door after it
fell off when I started the Van in gear... ooops... |
