Back again on the south coast!
Just a quick note from an internet cafe in Nowra after another sublime experience in the Italian Kitchen of coffee & gelato & I got to be a rock star & sold an album to a staff member when he recognised me from Jigzag- sunglasses & all! (well... I was wearing a Jigzag T-shirt)

It was sad to finally leave all our friends in the West after another amazing & very boisterous house concert in Shoalwater with a gang of ballroom dancers. I never had any idea I would find myself breaking out into a version of 'Rubber Ducky'! It was also the first concert which ended with a piano recital by our host & then an amazing spa in the backyard listening to the rain while we slowly turned to prunes in the silky warm bubbles. Not a bad way to spend an evening! Thanks Greg & Ally- for being great mates, awesome steak & a fabulous breakfast of bacon & eggs the next morning before leaving for the Fly by Night & our final WA gig. There are a couple of audience photos from this gig up already in the Gallery.

The Fly was packed with over 300 people & it was incredible to have people yelling out friendly greetings from the crowd as we delivered our short set & I preceded to get nicely smashed on Red wine. Thanks to Johnno & Jean for the great soup & pasta & getting us to the gig on time & big thanks to mother Maria who came to the rescue at the last minute with a freshly ironed top after mine had fallen off it's hanger into the back seat of a car headed out of town. I was not about to do my last gig topless however popular the notion seemed at the time!

Back on the east coast with another concert last night with Alison & Andrew & we are in full swing again. All these wonderful beaches & meals & great reds- it's amazing we fit any music in. This time we were assisted by young Tyson & Simon who just had to join in the fun whether it meant chattering or trying to play whatever instruments we weren't using at the time. Good to see musos experimenting young!
