Little me on TV!! Print
Saturday, 25 November 2006
I'm sitting here at my desk & it's way into the wee hours.
There is a bottle of cider (Mercury Draught- my favourite!) in front of me & a bowl full of abandoned orange peelings & a dirty coffee cup from the morning. I keep bumping my ankle on the scroll of my double bass which is laying half under the desk at my feet.

Like many of the days this year it's a crazy wonderful day. When i think of all the things I was intending to achieve today & compare it with what really happened I smile & shake my head. My life is full of wonderful people & amazing opportunities but a lot of the time I can't keep up. I haven't completed the christmas mail outs yet & I haven't learned the last Salsista piece for our big debut in less than a fortnight. My Dream Seat rehearsal turned into a more important human grounding experience but it probably won't help the way i actually play this weekend. Amazingly though i'm getting so much better at letting go. Letting it float by & just chipping away.

I'll be on the today show on Monday with Salsista early in the morning. I'll also be playing tunes with the dev'lish gals at the Artery on Sunday evening & while all that's happening; the artwork for the new Jigzag album will be finalised & it will all be sent away to the printers ready for Christmas. It's exciting & mad & beautiful but on the downside I still haven't recovered from this scary 5th bout of bronchitis this year, my computer is still yet to be functioning smoothly since i lost a whole bunch of stuff when the operating system crashed... (it's a long story) & I just wish everything would stop so i could just spring clean the house & plant things in the garden.

Oh well, there will be a couple of weeks to catch my breath 'til my biggest festival year ever kicks in. So far 2007 looks like this:
